Last update:
The Risk Shield is an automatic protection system built into all FXRK accounts. It is designed to protect the account in situations where floating losses increase rapidly and risk is no longer under control.
Its purpose is simple. To prevent a single moment from turning into a full account loss.
Why the Risk Shield Exists
A large percentage of accounts are lost by breaching the daily loss limit. In many cases, this does not happen because of a poor strategy, but because of a momentary lapse or a sudden market movement.
The Risk Shield is designed precisely for these situations.
It acts as an additional layer of protection to help prevent a single moment from having a disproportionate impact on the account.
What the Risk Shield Does
The Risk Shield continuously monitors the difference between the account balance and equity.
If at any moment the floating loss reaches 2% of the account’s initial balance, all open positions are automatically closed.
This percentage is always calculated based on the account’s initial balance, regardless of any profits or losses generated afterward.
What Happens When It Is Triggered
When the Risk Shield is activated:
All open positions are closed immediately
The account remains active
The trader can continue trading normally once the positions have been closed
The activation of the Risk Shield simply means that the defined loss threshold has been reached and the system has intervened to protect the account.
How to Understand the Risk Shield
The Risk Shield acts as a last layer of protection.
It does not replace proper risk management or the use of stop-loss orders, and it should not be relied on as part of a regular trading approach.
Its role is to intervene in exceptional situations where the market moves quickly or a position is not managed in time, helping prevent a single moment from having a disproportionate impact on the account.
Important Clarifications
The Risk Shield does not replace stop-loss orders or proper risk management
It does not replace Maximum Daily Loss or Maximum Total Loss limits
It can be triggered more than once, although it is not designed for repeated activation
The process is fully automatic and cannot be modified or disabled
